Rich Bitch diamonds
Dear Rich bitch, I love diamonds and it’s my heartfelt desire to wear a couple of big ones. Do you think that diamonds are a girl’s best friend? Material girl
Dear Material girl, I am one of those rare females who isn’t particularly fond of jewelry; however I can appreciate a pretty gem when I see one. As for your question, do I think that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, well, the first thing that comes to mind is that song from 80’s “Diamond’s are a girl’s best Friend”. I’m not sure if it was a Janet Jackson, Latoya Jackson or Paula Abdul song, and I’m disinclined to Google it right now.
Whoever sings the song, there’s a line in it that says something to the effect of, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. When you go they stay with me until the end.” That idea seems a bit farfetched to me.
I don’t think diamonds have the power to make a girl feel better when her heart gets broken. I don’t think that if I had a $10,000 diamond necklace in my possession I would feel better about the fact that I can’t pay my rent. Well, actually I probably would feel better because I would know I had something worth $10,000 to sell; but other than that I don’t think having diamonds would provide any profound joy that would inspire me to say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
Diamonds are luxurious. They sparkle. They are pretty, and if someone gave me a $10,000 diamond necklace as a gift I probably wouldn’t put it in the $9.99 jewelry box I bought from Walmart seven years ago; but I wouldn’t check on with it every night and have conversations with it about my life.
