Wendsday wensday wednesday

Why exactly do they spell Wednesday the way they do? It’s funny but I always have to spell out wednesday to get it right and I’ve been doing that since grade school. Because they teach you to spell according to sound and if you spell Wednesday according to how it sounds you’re not going to get Wednesday. You’ll get either wendsday or wensday depending on whether or not you pronounce the “d”.

Today is Wednesday. I am dubbing it orange wednesday. I will wear orange today, eat an orange and keep my eye out for interesting orange things just because….
