Gisele Bundchen is a rich woman
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has twice topped Forbes’ list of hightest paid supermodels in the world (2007, 2008) She is also reportedly the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment world with an estimated fortune of $150 million.
Gisele has amassed her fortunes in numerous endorsement contracts held through the course of her career as a model. She has represented such brands as Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Mervyn’s, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Versace, Céline, Givenchy, Bvlgari, Lanvin, Guerlain, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Earl Jean, Zara, Chloé, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria’s Secret.
Gisele has her own line of sandals with footwear company Grendene called Ipanema Gisele Bündchen. She also owns a hotel in Brazil.
Here is a case of a woman cashing in on her looks. For those of us who don’t look like Gisele Bundchen it can be hard to feel happy for any woman who manages to amass a $150 million dollar fortune just by having a pretty face and being able to wear skinny jeans. It seems like that kind of money should be earned rather than thrown at you because of how you look; but we really don’t know how hard Gisele Bundchen has had to work for her fortune. Until we walk in her shoes we probably shouldn’t judge her. It’s not her fault that the world is made up of people who are so obsessed with looks that it’s become possible for a beautiful woman to become a rich bitch millionaire by herself exploiting the public obsession, or the company whose product she endorses exploiting the public obsession.
More power to Gisele for knowing how to use what she’s got to get what she wants.
