Meredith Brooks Bitch Lyrics
You might be wondering what’s with all the posts with the word bitch in the title. I do apologize if it seems overdone; but that’s really what I’m trying to explore today. Just how offensive is this word? It’s used in poems. It’s used in songs. It’s used in a multitude of phrases. Yes, I’m perfectly aware that, overall, whenever someone is upset with a woman because she’s not doing or saying what they want her to do or say they call her a bitch and this is meant to say something bad about her.
But it seems to me that the word, while used with intent to offend any woman at whom it is directed, is just an expression of frustration on the part of the individual using it. They are frustrated by their inability to get their way so they call the woman a bitch to say she’s being difficult or she’s not being nice or she’s not letting them have their way.
In the context used here the word is certainly not meant to offend. When you’ve been poor all your life and taking everything life dishes out, letting people dump on you whenever they feel like doing so, you get to a point where you just don’t want to take it anymore. There’s nothing so great about being poor; and nice girls do seem to finish last. To get what you want out of life when you’re not a world class beauty that people line up to shower with adoration and fine jewels you pretty much have to storm in and take what you want; and whenever you do that you’re going to annoy and frustrate people. They’re going to call you a bitch. You can try to run from the word and stay poor but nice or you can recognize that its use when directed at you and meant to offend you is a reflection on the user’s weakness and a testimony to your strength.

I hate the world today
Your so good to me, I know
But I cant change
Tried to tell you but you looked at me like maybe Im an angel underneath
Innocent and sweet
Yesterday I cried
You must have been relieved to see the softer side
I can understand how youd be so confused
I dont envy you
Im a little bit of everything
All rolled into one
Im a bitch
Im a lover
Im a child
Im a mother
Im a sinner
Im a saint
I do not feel ashamed
Im your hell
Im you dream
Im nothing in between
You know you wouldnt want it any other way
So take me as I am
This may mean youll have to be a stronger man
Rest assured that when I start to make you nervous
And Im going to extremes
Tomorrow I will change
And today wont mean a thing
Im a bitch
Im a lover
Im a child
Im a mother
Im a sinner
Im a saint
I do not feel ashamed
Im your hell
Im you dream
Im nothing in between
You know you wouldnt want it any other way
Just when you think you got me figured out
The seasons already changin
I think its cool you do whatcha do
And dont try to save me
